Citrus County Students Show Strong Academic Growth Across the District

Hard work in Citrus County classrooms is paying off. Preliminary state assessment results show students made meaningful academic gains across the district during the 2025-2026 school year. 
Preliminary Spring 2026 assessment results show students across Citrus County School District made significant gains in English Language Arts (ELA), with nearly every grade level increasing proficiency compared to last year.

Citrus County Schools is proud to offer students and families a high‑quality educational experience that prepares every child for success. At the same time, districts across Florida including Citrus County are experiencing a decline in student enrollment. Public school funding is directly tied to the number of students attending district schools.

2025-2026 Final Report Cards for Middle & High

Attention families - Final report cards for the 2025–2026 school year have been posted for middle and high and are available in the Skyward Family Access portal. Families with elementary students should have received their child's report cards on the last day of school.

At today’s Regular School Board Meeting, Superintendent Hebert recognized our outstanding athletes who placed at the state level in their sport.
